The Dead Sea is one of 28 finalists in "Seven Natural Wonders of The World"

The Dead Sea, the lowest dry place in the world,
420 meters below sea level, will compete until 2011,
against 27 other sites, including places like
the Grand Canyon in the US,the River Amazon,
the Great Barrier Reef in Australia,
the Kilimanjaro in Tanzania,the Angel Falls in Venezuela,
the Galapagos Island.
About a billion people will vote to chose The Seven Wonders of Nature.
The Dead Sea is important to Israel,Jordan and Palestinian Authority
and because of that the contes is important to all sides in the area.
The Israel Tourism Ministry will lead a campaign for the Dead Sea to be sekected as
one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
